Stoneham, MA (JUL 2024) – StonehamBank’s CEO/President Edward F. Doherty Jr. recently announced that team member and data analyst Michael Guerrero completed the intensive two-year program of studies for the New England School of Financial Studies, held at Babson Executive Conference Center in Wellesley.

Mr. Guerrero completed the two-year program which is comprised of 135 hours of classroom instruction over two one-week periods, broadens the skills of attendees and trains them to make decisions that promote the profitability of the bank as a whole. In addition, students complete five independent study projects that focus on their bank and build on the first week’s instruction to prepare them for more advanced training during the second-year resident session. The course culminates in a comprehensive computerized simulation that challenges students to assume senior management responsibilities.

“We are all incredibly proud of Michael for graduating from the New England School for Financial Studies,” says Vice President Joshua Mahoney. “This is a testament to his dedication and hard work.  Completing this two-year program marks a significant milestone and sets a solid foundation for success, both now and in the years to come, by providing bankers with the education and skills they need to succeed and grow.  I know Mike will put his knowledge and talent to good use, helping to support our team and ultimately, our customers.”
