STONEHAM, MA (April 2022) – StonehamBank will again host Shred Day at both its 80 Montvale Avenue, Stoneham and 493 Boston Road, Billerica branches on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 9 am to 1 pm.
“We are proud that StonehamBank takes active steps to help the environment,” notes StonehamBank Assistant Vice President/Security Officer Michael McGrath. “In 2021 we recycled 1,301 pounds of paper saving about eleven trees. Once each year, StonehamBank offers this service for residents, community organizations and businesses. Items such as household papers, business documents and expired credit/debit cards can be shredded safely, securely and in an environmentally appropriate manner.”
Volunteers will be available to help unload vehicles and to accept food pantry donations for both the Stoneham and Billerica Food Pantries. We simply ask that you check expiration dates on all donations to ensure that they are within safe use code. If you prefer, you can make a monetary donation, which we will give to the agencies when we deliver the groceries.
“This is one of many ways that StonehamBank partners with our community to keep local nonprofit agencies growing and thriving,” adds Vice President/Marketing Director Lauren Constantine. “We are grateful to everyone who participates and our employees who volunteer for allowing us to be a good neighbor.”
