StonehamBank’s Greg D’Antona earns CRA certification

Stoneham, MA (JUN 2023) – StonehamBank CEO/President Edward F. Doherty, Jr. recently announced that Senior Vice President/Chief Risk/CRA Officer Gregory M. D’Antona has successfully earned the designation of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Certified Professional through the CRAtoday training program.
“StonehamBank depends on our Risk Team to ensure that it continuously and completely meets the CRA regulations within our assessment area,” says D’Antona. “I was excited to participate in the training program, from which I gained new knowledge and skills to keep StonehamBank focused on community programs that support our mission to ensure our consumers are protected and our lending is equitable for all. Mr. D’Antona enrolled in a self-paced training course with a rigorous examination which he successfully completed in May.

The Massachusetts Division of Banks (DOB) reviews every three years the Bank’s CRA operation to ensure that the Bank meets all the program requirements which ensures consumer protection in the financial services industry.  StonehamBank is proud to report that at its last review conducted in 2022 the Bank received a Satisfactory rating from the MA DOB, indicating that the institution has a satisfactory record of helping to meet the credit needs of its assessment area, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, in a manner consistent with its resources and capabilities.
